On June 27th, Wake Up and Dream hosted the first of its summer cruise series, this time to benefit For Love of Children.  Tickets were sold and young professionals gathered to learn more about FLOC and to have a good time.  All of the proceeds from the event will go to help FLOC provide high quality services and hopefully will lead to more volunteer interest.

Wake Up and Dream is a new 501 (c)(3) whose mission is: “Inspired by the belief that everyone has a valuable resource to invest in a better tomorrow, Wake Up and Dream's mission is to awaken the next generation of responsible citizens; deeply engaged in philanthropy and involvement in the community.”  For more information about this wonderful organization, please visit their website: www.wuad.org.  We are honored to be a part of this amazing organization’s good work in the community and we look forward to continuing a relationship with them. 

Guests of the event enjoyed an evening sailing the Potomac River with perfect views of the monuments.  A few FLOC staff members and even a board member were on hand to share with guests about our organization and some ways to get involved.  All in all, the event was a success and we look forward to working with ‘Wake Up and Dream’ in the future.
