To help celebrate the students' hard work all school year, FLOC organized our first ever Spring Fling! The event was graciously hosted by a group of local volunteers who eagerly bought food, supplies, decorations and crafts for the celebration.

When one student heard of the activities planned for the evening, she gasped and exclaimed, “This is the best party I have ever been to!” Volunteers brought in two Dance Dance Revolution Machines for the kids to use and ensured that each child had a chance to play the interactive and fast paced game. Children and families also decorated their own colorful t-shirts, flip flops and bookmarks. One of the best memories of the night was watching the students take turns hitting the piñata in an attempt to break it open and collect the erasers, pens and stickers that waited inside. The night ended with some good food and fun. The first ever Spring Fling won’t soon be forgotten by all those who attended!
